MANHATTAN
Community Center at Stuyvesant High School
In fall meets in front of Stuyvesant High School to run along the
Esplanade every Thursday evening.  Enjoy the outdoors, socialize, and
improve your fitness!
Dashing Whippets Running Team
The Dashing Whippets Running Team is a New York based running
team that is founded on, and driven by, the diversity of its team
members. With team members from all over the city, there are regular
group runs in different parts of the city every week.  There is support to
run your first race, run a PR, a marathon, an ultra marathon or an
Ironman.
Front Runners New York
A 500-strong running club for lesbians, gay men, and gay-friendly
people of all athletic abilities, from recreational walkers to competitive
athletes.  Based in/near Central Park.
Galloway Running Team
Galloway NYC is a spring through fall marathon/half marathon training
program.  Using a unique method devised by Olympian Jeff Galloway,
we insert periodic walk breaks into our long runs to prevent injury and
to maximize both recovery and enjoyment.  We have pace groups for
persons of all abilities, from new runners to sub-4 marathoners, and
always welcome new members.
Manhattan Track Club
This group meets in Central Park and members run 8-10 miles most
nights with one or two workouts per week.  A club well suited for
competitive athletes in training.
Mercury Masters
A running team for women aged 50 and over seeking fitness, friendship
and fun.  Meets mainly in Central Park.
New York Flyers
Supports the Upper East Side and Upper West Side, open to individuals
of all athletic abilities and experience levels.  Organized runs every
week.
New York Harriers
All paces are welcome, men and women, with ages from the 20s to the
50s.  There are workouts weekly and many social events.
New York Road Runners
New York City's premier racing club, organizer of the New York City
Marathon.  
NYC Fun Run
A social running group with members typically ranging from early 20’s to
mid 40’s. We always meet at a different bar throughout Manhattan, go
for a run, then meet back at the bar to socialize.
Nike Central Park Track Club
A competitive running club, open to all, covering road, track and cross-
country. There are two coached workouts per week.
The Reservoir Dogs
A Central Park based club for runners of all abilities, from sub-6-minute
milers to 10-minute milers. Group runs every Saturday morning,
Monday night and Thursday night, plus speed training on Wednesday
nights. Also many social activities.
The Running Center
A full-service company specializing in training runners from beginners
through experienced marathoners, in groups and privately. Also offer
running form analysis and heart rate testing and training on Woodway
treadmill. Has been in business for 15 years and coaching for 22 years.
Warren Street Social and Athletic Club
A competitive racing-oriented social club.  Team training weekly in
Central Park.
West Side Runners
A competitive running team with members from all NYC boroughs,
Westchester County, New Jersey and Connecticut. Emphasis is on long
distance running (half marathons, marathons).






BROOKLYN RUNNING CLUBS
Brooklyn Beer Runners
If you enjoy running, good beer, and good company, join us for fresh air
and hops every Sunday afternoon at Grand Army Plaza at 3:30 pm.
Brooklyn Road Runners
This group meets mostly in Prospect Park and is open to all levels of
running.  The club targets people who run for fun plus more serious
athletes. Regular group training runs several days per week.

North Brooklyn Runners
This club pairs enthusiasm for the North Brooklyn neighborhood with
fostering a healthy, well-balanced, and active lifestyle. It has group
runs, team building social events, educational programming, and
volunteering. The group welcomes runners of all paces and experience
levels. The vision is that people will find running partners, will share tips
about how to run in cold weather, will run races together, and make new
friends.
Prospect Park Track Club
Founded 30 years ago – all running levels are welcome.  Training
includes coached speed sessions and weekend group runs. There are
monthly meetings and social activities.  
Shore Road Striders
A running club for individuals interested in running as a sport.  Most
runners come from the Bay Ridge neighborhood.  Group runs are held
almost every weekend.





QUEENS RUNNING CLUBS
Alley Pond Striders
A running/walking group for all ages and sexes, based at the Alley Pond
park house on Winchester Blvd.  There daily runs and walks, annual
races, and social activities.
College Point Road Runners Track Club
The club seeks committed, not necessarily super fast, runners.
Operates year-round with scheduled coached workouts and informal
runs weekly. Group marathon training runs April-October.
Forest Park Runners
Age group is mostly from 30s to 70s.  It is an international group.  There
are group runs multiple days per week year-round.  The club hosts
races in May and the summer.
Hellgate Road Runners
Located in Astoria, the club invites all comers to join in group runs.  
Hellgate meets four days per week for group runs at the track in Astoria
Park.





BRONX RUNNING CLUBS
Van Cortlandt Track Club
Open to all runners regardless of ability or experience.  There are
group runs and speed workouts weekly.  Hosts several races in spring
and summer.

STATEN ISLAND RUNNING CLUBS
Richmond Rockets
A club for runners and joggers of all levels of ability, welcoming
members of any age; young and old, male and female, at any time
during the year. A club for elite racers, runners looking to relieve stress,
or to socialize. Member benefits include: Holidays parties, BBQ, t-shirt,
Sunday morning and weekly training runs, marathon training and hotel
room, and speed workouts.
Staten Island Athletic Club
Welcomes new members, including men, women, teens, children and
families, and athletes of all fitness levels. There are monthly meetings
and open, free, clocked 3-mile fun run/walks on Saturdays in Clove
Lakes Park.






LONG ISLAND RUNNING CLUBS (NASSAU & SUFFOLK
COUNTIES)
Bellmore Striders
A small club with members ages from 23 to 51 focused on training from
500 meters to marathons. Meets three days per week year-round.
Bohemia Track Club
On the south shore of Suffolk County, offers activities to recreational
and competitive runners, covering track and field and road running.  
Welcomes runners of all ages (20s to the 70s )and abilities.
East End Road & Trail Runners Club
Mission is to promote running, develop races, and inform the community
of runners. Races support health, fitness, and educational and
environmental needs.
Greater Long Island Running Club
Promotes running and fitness on Long Island for people of all ages and
levels of ability.  Monthly meetings, track workouts, fun runs, monthly
magazine, support for charities, clinics, club racing team.
Long Beach Road Runners Club
Promotes running to all ages throughout the Long Beach community
and welcomes runners from neighboring communities.  Hosts several
local running events.
Long Island Road Runners Club
Over 80 events yearly in Eisenhower Park. Spring and fall marathon
tune-up races, quarter-, half-, and one mile summer fun runs, a 5K
summer series, XC races, relay, and BBQs.
Massapequa Road Runners
Operates out of Massapequa Park. The club meets monthly and
members meet locally and travel out to other area events, plus there
are many social activities. Hosts July 4 Firecracker Race.
New Hyde Park Runners Club
Regular runs Tuesday through Sunday from 5 to 7 miles with longer
runs for runners training for marathons. Pace groups for runners of all
types.
Northport Running Club
Conducts up to four weekly group runs for runners of varying paces.
Hosts the Great Cow Harbor 10K race.
Valley Stream Running Club
Provides the residents of Valley Steam and neighboring communities
the opportunity to participate in healthy activities in a grass root,
friendly, club environment. Members partake in group runs, training
programs, races and social activities.  The club emphasizes the
importance of staying active no matter what your pace or age and
welcomes, runners, walkers, and bikers.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY RUNNING CLUBS
NewRo Runners.
NewRo Runners brings together runners of all ages and abilities to
promote a healthy community, camaraderie, in a fun running
environment. The club runs together every Saturday and Sunday
morning at 8am, on different routes in Southern Westchester.  
Soundshore Runners and Multisport Club
Merged into NewRo Runners in 2012.
Taconic Road Runners Club
Based in northern Westchester County, a premier racing club in the
40+ category. Most members run for fun. Members run daily with widely
varying paces.
Tailwind Track Club
A competitive running club based in Westchester, NY, targeting boys
and girls (ages 6-18) from beginner to elite.  It offers a year-round,
structured training program that includes strength and conditioning,
track running, and group trail runs.
Westchester Track Club
A two-tiered club for elite and recreational runners. Nationally
registered track team is a multinational group of Olympic aspirants.  
Recreational group meets at White Plains High School for structured
workouts.  All are welcome.
