GREATER BOSTON RUNNING CLUBS
Bay State Triathlon Team
The Bay State Triathlon Team is located in Bridgewater, MA.  The team’
s mission is to provide a supportive, instructive and motivational
environment for men and women of all abilities to challenge themselves
and reach their personal fitness goals through the sport of triathlon.
Boston Athletic Association
Established in 1887, the Boston Athletic Association manages athletic
events, especially running.  The organization’s marquee event is the
Boston Marathon.
Boston Bulldogs Running Club
A co-ed non-profit running club that provides support to those battling
addiction, those in recovery, family and friends who have been
negatively affected by addiction, and those who support them. The
Club promotes diversity and anonymity. It meets twice weekly at the
Chestnut Hill Reservoir.
Boston Hash House Harriers
The Boston Hash House Harriers meet on Wednesday evenings during
the spring and summer and Sunday afternoons during the fall and
winter.
Boston Running Center
The Boston Running Center is a team of health professionals, including
coaches, sports nutritionists, personal trainers, and massage
therapists, dedicated to assisting runners stay injury free while reaching
their full potential.  
Boston Triathlon Team
The Boston Triathlon Team, founded in 1987, has a rich history of
racing, training and fellowship around the sport of triathlon.  Members
cross train frequently by biking, skiing, hiking and fun/training swims at
Walden Pond.
Cambridge Running Club
This club limits its membership size and does not currently welcome
new members.
Cambridge Sports Union
The Cambridge Sports Union is one of the Boston area's premier
running, skiing and orienteering athletic clubs boasting members from
all corners of greater Boston, Massachusetts and beyond. CSU's
running section hosts many training runs throughout the year in Boston
area locations, including the Boston Marathon.
Cape Ann Distance Project
Cape Ann Distance Project is a USATF registered club in Gloucester,
MA, offering personal coaching, coached interval workouts, supported
long runs, and race specific training.
Colonial Road Runners
The Colonial Road Runners, based in Abington, MA, has members
throughout Southeastern Massachusetts.  The club provides friendship,
support, and a variety of training opportunities for runners of all ages,
abilities, and goals.
Community Running Association
Community Running Association was founded in 1998 and provides
coaching, advice, encouragement and fun while pursuing their goals.  
The club is located in Cambridge, MA.
Gate City Striders
The Gate City Striders is located in Chelmsford, MA and serves
Southern New Hampshire and the Merrimack Valley.  The Club offers
something for every type of running enthusiast.
Boston Front Runners
Front Runners Boston is Boston's first gay and lesbian running club,
founded in 1979. Every Saturday morning, members meet and run
along the Charles River various distances, followed by a weekend
brunch.
Gil’s Athletic Club
Gil’s Athletic Club is an informal running club based in Topsfield,
Massachusetts.  Their catchcall – “Any distance, any time, any season,
any place on earth”.
Greater Boston Track Club
The Greater Boston Track Club (GBTC) is a friendly and competitive
team with approximately 200 members competing on a national,
regional and local level in cross country, track and field, and trail
running.
Greater Framingham Running Club
The Greater Framingham Running Club averages 200 members of all
ages and abilities that run short, long and ultra distances on trails and
roads year round. They volunteer as clock-watchers for all the clocks
on the Boston Marathon course, do the finish line for the Corporate
Challenge and manage a ten-week summer track program for the Town
of Framingham. The Club has an annual awards banquet, a member-
hosted monthly meeting/fun run with a hardy breakfast; produce a
monthly newsletter and avail our members to a members-only email list
serv.   The Club also subsidizes team relay races and directs the GFRC
Annual Bushwack Trail Race.  
Greater Lowell Road Runners
A club in the Merrimack Valley.
Greater Norwood Running Club (GNRC)
GNRC has been “rocking the streets of Norwood/Westwood, MA since
2006.”  The Club comprises women, men and juniors who love to run,
participate in races, discuss training, and socialize together.   The Club
schedules runs seven days a week and compete frequently and
welcome runners and tri-athletes of all abilities.
Heartbreak Hill Striders
The Heartbreak Hill Striders is located in Wellesley, MA and was formed
in 1999.  The Club is named after the most famous hill in running –
Heartbreak Hill – between miles 20 and 21 in the Boston Marathon.  
The club welcomes runners in all distances.
Highland City Striders
We are runners who live in the greater Marlborough/Hudson area who
meet weekly to run, have fun and keep in shape.  Formed in April 2004,
our mission is to promote health and fitness among our membership
with a focus on adopting healthy lifestyles.  In addition, we support
camaraderie among runners and other local running clubs in the area.  
Our organization provides support to local charities through
sponsorship of local running events several times a year.
Hopkinton Running Club
The Hopkinton Running Club is a group of runners of all abilities, from
the painfully slow to the ridiculously fast, living in and around Hopkinton,
MA.  Established in the spring of 2003, we're dedicated to promoting
running as a lifestyle, improving the fitness of our community, and
providing a welcoming environment for those new to the sport and
seasoned veterans alike.
L Street Running Club
The purpose of the L Street Running Club (LSRC) is to encourage
running at all levels, from the recreational to the serious competitor –
“no pace too slow, no distance to short”. The club is situated in South
Boston, MA.
Marshfield Road Runners
The Marshfield Road Runners located in Marshfield, MA, is an informal
group with over 200 members dedicated to the sheer fun and
camaraderie of running.
Mass Velocity Track Club
This club is built around Master Sprinters from throughout New England
and the Northeast. Friends of Mass Velocity belong to other running
clubs and some are unattached but we all share a camaraderie as
sprinters in particular and track & field in general.
Master Racewalking and Track and Field Club
Based out of Watertown, MA, the club is for everyone. Regardless of
experience the Club covers all types of racewalking and track and field
events.
Melrose Running Club
The Melrose Running Club was formed as a non-profit organization in
1996 with the charter to make a positive contribution to our community
while promoting the sport of running. Over the years the club has grown
into a social, supportive group of over 150 local runners.  
Merrimack Valley Striders
The Merrimack Valley Striders, formed in 1978, originated with a small
group of runners representing the towns of Andover, North Andover,
Methuen, and Lawrence, MA.  The Club serves the needs of a broad
span of running abilities.
Mystic Runners
The Mystic Runners, located in Wakefield, MA comprises road runners,
trail and track.  The Club’s purpose is to promote running and it's
health benefits in the local community.
New Balance Boston Running Club
New Balance Boston is an elite, post-collegiate racing team, dedicated
to achieving personal records and team championships at major cross
country, track and road racing events.  Most team members work full-
time and are leaders in their Boston-area communities.  We are
teachers, coaches, engineers, lawyers, health workers, graduate
students, and volunteers, as well as committed New Balance athletes.
North Medford Running and Walking Club
NMC is the second oldest running club in America, founded in 1933 by
the legendary Fred Brown. We strive to maintain a tradition of low cost,
no frill racing. Our club sponsors both a winter and summer series of
races. The winter races are held on Sunday afternoons at various
locations in southern NH and eastern MA. In the summer, races are
held on Tuesday nights at similar locations. We run (and race walk)
because we love the sport. Come join us!!!
North Shore Striders

The North Shore Striders Track Club was founded in 1976 to promote
running for both the recreational and competitive runner.  The club is
very active with running events as well as many social events.  The
Club is a member of USA Track and Field New England.   
Parkway Running Club (West Roxbury)
The Parkway Running Club (PRC), located in the West Roxbury
neighborhood of Boston, is a running club for all types of runners --
young and old, speedsters and joggers, marathoners and those
training for their first 5k. Our club focuses on the social elements of
running as well as the sport itself.
Pioneer Valley Women’s Running Club
The Pioneer Valley Women's Running Club (PVWRC) was founded in
2000 as a way for women in Northern Connecticut and Western
Massachusetts to rally around their common interest of running.
Plymouth Harriers
The Plymouth Harriers is one of the largest running clubs in Plymouth,
MA.  The club meets regularly during the week and welcomes all novice
and experienced runners.
Shamrock Running Club, Woburn
The Shamrock Running Club located in Woburn, MA  is an energetic
group of nearly 200 runners who have fun running as well as socializing
Somerville Road Runners
The Somerville Road Runners  is Somerville’s oldest running club.
Bordering Boston and Cambridge, the Somerville Club states “we're a
motley crew that works hard, but doesn't let that get in the way of
having a good time”. SRR is a charitable, non-profit organization that
sponsors many events a year including weekly runs, track workouts,
annual races and even competitive but delicious cook-offs. Our club
welcomes new members of all abilities.
Sommerville Striders Athletic Club
Somerville Striders Athletic Club is a small organization made up of
many diverse folk who have been active in running, biking, hiking,
football, baseball, basketball, golfing and swimming within Somerville,
MA, New England and the World since 1995.
Team Envision
Team Envision is Boston-based and is an all-women’s triathlon team
providing support to women and helping them achieve their goals.
Team Gloucester
Team Gloucester, based in Gloucester, MA, is a loosely organized
running club with an emphasis on mountain and trail running.  The Club
does a weekly Sunday trail run all year and there are weekly track
workouts in the spring, summer, and fall.  Fast or slow, all are welcome;
all that's required is a sense of humor and a taste for adventure.
Thirsty Irish Runners Club (Dedham)
Thirsty Irish Runners has only been in existence since 2000. Since
then, membership has steadily grown. The bulk of the members live
within Dedham to eastern Massachusetts.  While members participate
in various races and support each other, the Thirsty Irish Runners Club
is about belonging to a family.  There is one simple thing…running that
“starts them on the road together”.

The Hub Running Club is a club for all shapes, sizes, speeds and
abilities.  “Join Boston runners for group runs and races.  Together we’ll
make Boston the hub of the running universe!”
Winchester Highlanders Running Club
This Club comprises a group of women and men of all ages, speeds
and goals who like to run.   Their schedule includes a balance of easy
and harder training: social runs, track and hill intervals, tempo runs and
long runs. Their runs starts at the Town Common parking lot in the
center of Winchester.






CAPE COD
Cape Cod Athletic Club
The Cape Cod Athletic Club promotes running and multi-sport activities
in the Cape Cod area by organizing many major road races and events
each year.  Formed in 1976, the club has over 250 members.
Cape Cod Hash House Harriers
The Cape Cod Hash House Harriers commences operations in 2013.  
This chapter will be more family-oriented and not as competitive as
many other hashes.
Falmouth Track Club
The Falmouth Track Club out of Falmouth, MA is composed of
individuals and families who live in Falmouth and the surrounding towns
of Upper Cape Cod and who participate in and support running, road
racing and walking.

REGIONAL MASSACHUSETTS
Central Massachusetts Striders
The Central Massachusetts Striders is a non-profit organization based
in Worcester, MA dedicated primarily to the sport of long-distance
running, including recreational/fitness jogging, road racing, cross-
country, trail running, track racing, competitive race walking and multi-
sport activities.

Duxbury Runners
Duxplex Student Athletic Complex, Duxbury, MA.  A running club
welcoming all fitness levels and speeds. Here is your opportunity to
meet and run with a crew of people, where friendships are formed,
where some dream of crossing the finish line of their first 5k, 10k, 13.1,
or 26.2 or perhaps a PR. You can run solo or with our run crew followed
by coffee. The club plans to meet at the Duxplex parking lot at 8:00 am
every Sunday.

Empire One Running Club
The Empire One Running Club is located in Holyoke, MA.  The club is a
non-profit organization founded in 1980 and welcomes recreational and
competitive runners.
Greater New Bedford Track Club
The Greater New Bedford Track Club is a community-based
organization that promotes fellowship through running and group
activities throughout the South Coast. The GNBTC promotes running at
all levels and abilities. Runners and walkers are always welcomed.
Greater Springfield Harriers
The Greater Springfield Harriers is an athletic club focused on track
and field, cross country, long distance running (particularly road races),
and race walking.
Squannacook River Runners
The Squannacook River Runners (SqRR) is a small club of 100
members or so who reside in Groton and surrounding towns. We're a
social, not-overly-competitive club made up of people with diverse
backgrounds and running abilities, but who are bound together by a
passion for running. We don't promise serious coaching or a new 10K
PR, just good camaraderie, new acquaintances, and lively conversation
during our runs.
Stadium Runners Foxboro MA
We are a running club based out of Foxboro, MA. Our passion is
running and staying fit but we are also a social club who welcomes new
members with a desire to run and be a part of a group.  Our seasoned
runners are very knowledgeable and are more than willing to share
their running expertise.  We look forward to seeing you at a training
session or road race.  It is all about showing up and putting in the effort
Sugarloaf Mountain Athletic Club

Sugarloaf Mountain Athletic Club founded in 1972, supports
recreational or competitive running in Western Massachusetts.  The
club is open to runners of all ages and abilities.
Tri Valley Frontrunners
Located in Milford, MA, the Tri-Valley Frontrunners (TVFR) is a 32-year-
old running club representing and welcoming male and female runners
of all ages and abilities from many eastern and central Massachusetts
towns.
Walpole Rebel Runners
Walpole Rebel Runners is a supportive and friendly running group
established in June of 2012. We have a variety of levels in the group;
from first time runners to marathoners.
Wampanoag Road Runners
Supporting the local running community in Southeast Massachusetts &
Rhode Island, the Wampanoag Road Runners running club is open to
all levels of runners.  We currently have over 200 members and are
growing everyday.
Western Massachusetts Athletic Club
People interested in recreational and competitive running and athletics
are invited to join the Western Massachusetts Athletic Club based in
the Berkshire County area. The club was organized in 1979 when a
group of competitive runners came together to form a club capable of
fulfilling any runner's needs. We are active in trail running,
snowshoeing, road racing, mountain running, bicycling, and whatever
may interest our members. The club's purpose is to promote sports
activities for enjoyment as well as for competition. All are welcome to
join.
